Our first event in 2019 showcased a culturally rich artistic program that engaged some of the best African and African-American artists in the business. This historic opening in the District of Columbia Metro area (DMV) celebrated the uniqueness of African cultural expressions in the arts and provided a unique platform for African artists and people of African ancestry in comedy, music, dance, and the art of storytelling.

Africa is my passion because it’s a continent of diversity and beauty, with untold stories that deserve to be heard. Through my work at Africa Comedy Live, I am able to celebrate and showcase the rich comedic talent that emerges from the many cultures and communities that make up this amazing continent. Laughter truly is the universal language that can bring us all together, transcending borders and barriers. It’s an honor to be able to share the joy and humor of Africa with the world.

Our community includes all people who love authentic comedy particularly the US immigrant population from Africa totaling 2 million plus and audiences outside the US in Africa, Europe, and Canada.
