Actor, Comedian, & ProducerFunny, smart, and chronically woman-less…Tommy Taylor Jr. is an award-winning actor, comedian, and filmmaker from Washington, DC.
Tommy has appeared in several HBO series including the EMMY winning VEEP and The Wire, as well as “Late Night with Conan O’Brien”. He recently starred in the hit ABC television show “The Proposal”, where he used his intelligence, humor, and his love of bacon to win the heart of his “mystery woman”!
As a former engineer with degrees from Carnegie Mellon University – Tommy combined his love for S.T.E.M. and film-making to produce unique content for government and national organizations to engage youth and under-served communities into science. His dynamic approach was recognized by Forbes Magazine in their “Best Science Videos”. Tommy’s creativity and humor can also be seen in many commercials, short films, and video he has written and produced through his own production company, Taylor Creative, LLC. Clients range from the Smithsonian to the Special Olympics. His sketch comedy television series has won local and national awards.
On stage Tommy has opened for comedians Tony Rock, Ralphie May, Bill Bellamy, and was selected as one of HBO’s & ABFF’s top ten upcoming comedians in the country. Tommy also produces a popular comedy series entitled Almost Ladies Night, this innovative show re-imagines stand-up comedy show with unique and highly interactive segments, national comedians, and much more. It also touts one of the most attractive crowds around, making it both the place to be and be seen!!
His appeal has helped him reach audiences from all walks of life! Through his successes and failures he has a heart to giveback, including a yearly camp he helps produce and facilitate for children in a small village of Belize, community workshops, speaking engagements, mentoring, and more. Tommy is also committed to staying abstinent until marriage…or until a woman gives him that elusive second date.
